Armed with no more than her voice, her words, & her guitar, Melinda Davis started to write songs meant to expose the soul & stir the emotions. Recognized for her strong songwriting, Melinda was a runner-up in the 2008 Singer/Songwriter Awards. Her song "The Best of Me" has been #1 on the Broadjam.com charts. An experienced performer as well as a writer, Melinda has played many venues in the tri-state area. From 2006 to 2008, she fronted the band "Melinda Davis & The Eleventh Hour", until the tragic & unexpected death of the drummer, George Andrew, in April 2008. Melinda can be found playing acoustically or occasionally singing with Damn the Torpedoes, a Tom Petty Tribute band.
